The third revised edition of text book of Engineering Chemistry is in your hands now. This edition has been completely revised and errors that erupted in the earlier editions have been rectified. Now, the book covers the syllabus prescribed for first year students of technical universities of most of the states. Due to the demand of students, a new chapter on electrical conductivity and ionization has been added in this edition. The chapter on mechanism of organic reactions has been modified and details of Pinacol-Pinacolone rearrangements have been added. In view of the growing demand of polymers, details of biodegradable polymers have also been added in the chapter of polymers and we regard it as important or interesting information for the students. We believe that the new information added will be useful to the students.
